JOB DESCRIPTION:
We’re currently seeking a Estate Administration and Medicaid Paralegal. Paralegal certification is not required, we will provide the right candidate with the necessary training. It is vital that this person be warm, friendly, energetic, poised and team-oriented. In this position, you will be assisting our attorneys in the preparation and submission of Chronic Care Medicaid applications, as well as with the administration of clients’ estates upon their death. You will be meeting with clients both in person and over the telephone, and you will be dealing with various financial institutions on our clients’ behalf. Some firm events are held during the evening hours and on the weekends, such as educational programs and client appreciation events.  Occasional meetings will take place in our Bath office. If you do not enjoy being passionately committed to your job and busy all day with a wide variety of activities, then this position is not for you. We encourage personal and professional growth, and you will have the opportunity for both at our firm. Excellent word processing, spelling, grammar and spreadsheet skills required.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First and foremost, must be a fun-loving, cheerful, energetic people person, with superb in-person, phone, and written interpersonal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
  • Must be passionate about helping our clients and their families; take pride and joy in providing the highest-quality services possible; and enjoy creating a very welcoming and warm environment.
  • Strong background in customer service preferred. Our clients will love you — and probably keep you on the phone too long — because of your patience, understanding, and consideration for our clients. In fact, your ability to interact with people of all ages and professional backgrounds makes you a natural for this opportunity.
  • Have a strong professional work ethic.
  • Confident and always have a polished, professional demeanor and appearance, including how you speak and how you act.
  • Always wear a smile, are friendly, cordial, gracious, polite, patient, and considerate.
  • Committed to operating in a team environment with a certain amount of autonomy and self-management.
  • Highly attentive to detail, organized, dependable, and consistent.
  • Able to set schedules and meet deadlines. You make a great contribution to our firm because of your commitment to our team.
  • Energy and a great attitude are very important.
  • Able to learn, accurately follow, and manage workflow systems.
  • Very computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook, and comfortable learning and mastering new database systems/programs.
  • Comfortable and trustworthy in working with confidential information.
  • Current notary license required.
  • Previous success working in a paralegal, financial or administrative office position.

We’ll offer the right candidate a competitive salary and benefit package.

TESTIMONIALS

A pleasure as always dealing with the entire staff. Always willing to explain the answers to our questions.

- Joseph and Julie Ann M. Client Review August 26, 2020

Over the years we have been to many programs regarding Estate Planning. We were most impressed with Mr. Robinson’s presentation - both in subject matter and explanation in an understandable manner. We have put our “trust” in his competent hands. We were not aware of the complexity and the volume of paperwork generated for this undertaking. We found his staff to be most capable and client oriented in their knowledge and delivery.

- F.T. & L.T. Client Review August 26, 2020

Our overall experience was one of thoughtfulness, clarity and comprehensiveness on the part of Michael Robinson, his staff and associates. We attended Michael’s seminar on legacy wealth, and found him to be clear and well-spoken. He touched on all aspects of Estate Planning in which we were interested. Our first of two visits to his office was timely and helpful enough for us to consider developing a plan. We finalized our document at a necessary meeting. His staff was accommodating and virtually spelled out every aspect of the plan. We highly recommended Michael and his system for developing a trust.
