ROCHESTER ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEYS ATTEND EXCLUSIVE CONFERENCE
RECEIVES IMPORTANT ELDER & ESTATE PLANNING EDUCATION IN SAN DIEGO, CA
Pittsford, New York— November 17, 2016 — Michael Robinson and Nathan Shoff acclaimed Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes Region estate planning and elder law attorneys, participated in one of the nation’s premier legal education conferences in San Diego, CA from November 2 through November 7. Hosted by the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, the 23rd annual Fall Summit included over 100 estate planning law firms from around the country that met specific qualifications for exclusive membership with the American Academy.

The American Academy is devoted to helping its Member attorneys improve their relationships within their communities as well as enhance the way they practice law. During these bi-annual conferences, attorneys receive state-of-the-art legal education to keep them up-to-date on important estate, tax, and business planning laws. They also receive training from some of the top estate and elder law professionals nationwide to learn the latest in management and practice building strategies. “We place a high value on legal education and practice systems. Our events support attorneys with a holistic approach that covers their educational needs as well as practice management. Between our events and monthly membership calls, we provide considerable education opportunities. These opportunities help meet or exceed our annual 36-hour CLE requirements,” said Sanford M. Fisch, CEO and co-founder of the American Academy.

The Academy’s co-founders jump started the event on Thursday with Founders Message, which focused on visions of the future and goal acceleration. Michael Robinson also received legal training during the session Owners and Future Owners: Anatomy of a Successful Academy Law Firm. Additionally, the Summit featured Sam Donaldson, a professor at Georgia State University College of Law, who spoke on Contemporary Estate Planning Paradigms for Married Couples as well as Ethical Issues for the Estate Planner.

Michael Robinson said, “We believe every family in the Rochester and Finger Lakes areas should have an estate plan in place to secure their assets and legacy for future generations. The American Academy and these events provide an encompassing approach in its education, systems and resources which help us build relationships with our clients and make a difference in our community.”

The Law Office of Michael Robinson, P.C. has devoted its practice to estate planning and elder law matters for more than 30 years and has been a Member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys since 1993.
